The found by jewels teething heart was created as a tradition that started with my great grandmother. Her mother gave her a gold puffy disc to chew on when she was a baby teething. Its soft cold metal soothed her aching teeth and her little teeth left the sweetest dents as a reminder of that previous time in a baby’s life. My great grandmother passed it down to my mother and she’s worn it around her neck every day of her life! When I had my first baby, my husband bought me a puffed heart so that I could do the same thing with my children. I wore it on a bracelet and let each of my babies nibble on a little section of it. It is a treasure unlike any other and is my favorite piece of jewelry. The perfect memento of the sweetest and simplest time in my life.
