Our gold filled nicole ball chain is made of 14k gold filled semi solid beads.  Gold Filled jewelry is NOT the same as gold plated jewelry.  Because there is a percentage of real solid 14k gold in the base metal, it will not tarnish if taken care of properly.  It is not recommended to submerge your gold filled jewelry into water ie, showering or swimming. Your gold filled jewelry can and should be regularly cleaned with a polishing cloth and warm soapy water.
